moment he was born, I knew Okken was everything I had ever hoped for in
an Akita. Okken finished his Canadian Championship at just 7 months old
winning his first Best Puppy In Show. Because he loved to show, we Specialed
Okken. By the time Okken was 10 months old, he had won the Akita Specialty,
had 4 Best Puppy In Show, Mrs. Rosemary McKnight, Mr. Robert Stein (USA),
Mr. Archie Warnock and Mr. Doug Windsor, 11 Best Puppy In Group, One Group
2nd, One Group 3rd, and 28 Best of Breeds. He was ranked as the No.
4 Akita for 1997 in Canada. Our Okken was a total showman, he loved to "turn it on" and is so deeply missed... His future would have been a bright one, but was not meant to be. |
